Russian
compilation Siberian Rapture was a collaboration with our friends from NSK music magazine in Novosibirsk, Russia. We met via FAX and began corresponding with Alex Belikov, owner of NSK. Siberian Rapture was recorded on our first trip to Russia in April of 1993. Amidst the endless rows of huge cement block apartment buildings, grey faces and fuzzy hats, we found the most passionate, intelligent and generous people we hav ever met. CD #050 - $5 Cassette # #057 |
Putti 3 songs (hard rock) ...and where did they get that guitar player? ...he hammers on the neck with both hands, like playing a typewriter... putti released their own cd album in russia soon after exposure from this very compilation...not bad for a hard rock band in siberia. Leprosy House 3 songs (alternative, rock) take your rock guitar, bass and drums, add stereo trumpets, weird flutes, then sing in very strange voices and presto!, the eccentric leprosy house awaits your audio visit. Culture Bunker 2 long songs (alternative, rock) one of cb's trademarks is their vocals, a deep resonant tibetan-like voice complemented with angelic backup. the songs are hypnotic, mysterious, electric and well produced. the only detail missing is the theatre that they deliver on stage. close your eyes... Stinking Animals 3 songs (rock, punk) ...rock & roll you can depend on, no tricks, just live power. the guys play in several other rock bands in russia, too. Nuclear Losb (a Losb is a moose-the b is for the soft sign in Russian) 5 songs (industro punk) these boys are huge, monstrous rockers that vibrate your brains and everything in reach with their industro guitar and atomic vocal (sung in a german / english / russian / latin combination ). why not? i seriously think you don't have anything better to do. |
